Trump's Family Member Seeks Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts substantial social media audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent cheerleaders as she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates multiple international courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He practically suggested to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in only three events this year and maintains position 461 in AJGA listings.
But she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.
"He is the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.
"And he's a more impressive person. He told me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that her participation exposes the sport to different demographics, especially with the next generation.
Kai maintains millions of followers and just introduced a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
