The Mighty Nein's Opening Sequence Selected the Wrong Popular RPG Show Track

This latest animated series, the most recent animated series from the beloved role-playing group, revealed a new opening credits. It showcases our favorite cast of misfits, misfits, and criminals fighting hard and making their mark, while teasing at multiple heart-wrenching backstories for key figures such as the voice actor's mage Caleb, and Travis Willingham's orc warlock, the character Fjord.

All in all, the opening looks amazing. However, I felt that something was missing in the music selection.

This sequence uses "Welcome to the Continent", a truly stellar composition composed by producer and singer the talented musician. This piece originating from the official score of the same name, the second one put out by the production company's music division their music brand. It's a great sentimental choice, and I believe that fans of the second campaign will love its inclusion.

But for me, The series' intro fails to capture the excitement and excitement that was part of the second campaign's live-play sessions. "Your Turn to Roll", written by musician Jason Charles Miller, was an instant classic for me when it was initially unveiled in that year, and it improved further when co-founder the performer wrote words to the melody for the series' animated intro in the later year.

Including singing from Ashley Johnson, another performer, a co-star, as well as Riegel himself, the song was memorable and enjoyable. At the time, I hadn't seen the follow-up series at that point, but this was such an earworm that I kept it on my phone. It's a song that knows how to get you pumped before you dive into an installment of adventurous fun.

The show's intro with "Welcome to Wildemount" doesn't strike the same chords in my opinion. It's a grand composition, but from what I know of the group, I can't help but feel that its tone is somewhat mismatched.

Of course, the creators has already said that the series will have some changes and differences from the actual-play campaign. An adjusted mood for its intro seems to be one of them.

This animated adventure will be released on Prime Video from November 19. For those eager until then, or want a head start to learn about the characters of the second series, the original episodes are available on the audio platform and YouTube.
