The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was made after an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
