Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Claims Connected to Player Rashee Rice
The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment Wednesday night confirming they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a former girlfriend of player the athlete and had been in contact with the NFL.
The organization omitted the name of Rice by name in their announcement and noted they would have “no further comment at this time”.

The woman, who also did not mention Rice by name, posted a series of photos on social media that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. Jones stated the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has two children with Rice, whom the team drafted in the 2023 draft.

Player's Prior Off-Field Troubles
The receiver missed the initial part of this season due to an league-mandated ban for his role in causing a crash on a Texas roadway that resulted in several individuals injured. Rice was sentenced a month of incarceration and probationary supervision after pleading guilty to felony charges.
