FC Barcelona Set to Play First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga 30 months since relocating so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned approval is being pursued by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
